چکیده
Renewable energy consumption (REC) has an important significance in mitigating CO2 emissions. However, currently, few scientists have analyzed the underlying impact of REC from a global geographic perspective. Thus, here, we divide world into seven regions to study this during period 1971–2016 using logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI). These were East Asia and Pacific (EAP), Europe Central (ECA), Latin America Caribbean (LAC), Middle North Africa (MENA), (NA), South (SA), Sub-Saharan (SSA). The results showed that ECA had most obviously effect −10.13%, followed by NA MENA (−3.91% −3.87%, respectively). Inversely, EAP largest driving 4.12%, SA (3.43%) others. Globally, overall contribution −11.04% total change. indicate it is still exploit utilize renewable energy, especially presently developing or underdeveloped countries. Moreover, for some countries at certain stage, their effects negative, but, concurrently, intensity positive. show recently reduced carbon emissions only extensively not enhancing energy-use efficiency. Finally, policy implications reducing different are recommended.
